About

There’s four sides to every story,

if these walls could talk,

they’d probably still ignore me.

J. L. Vaught aka Louise Hayalt aka UIUS aka Julius Voigt aka Raymonde de Panther (*1989, Berlin) live and work in Berlin. Their work oscillates between every day situations and a somewhat wide range of theoretical and artistic fields such as literature- and sociocultural theory, psychology, philosophy, sculpting, painting, performance- and mediaart. Currently they are mainly working on paintings aswell as on spatial installations that include found and selfmade objects, text, sound and drawings. Main influences for them ever come from literature and literature theory, semiotics and graffitiart. With a mix of sociocultural and aesthetic networks and diagrammatics – digital aswell as analog – they try to focus and defocus, critique and illuminate topics like love, death, sickness, machines and alienation, art, science and philosphy. After finishing an MA in literature, philosophy and aesthetics at Viadrina University in Frankfurt/Oder they are currently completing their fine arts studies in the sculpting department at art school Berlin-Weißensee.
