IMG_5792How can we read and (re-)write space?

Grafitecture is an ongoing series starting in 2015 and trying to develop a language or sign-structure that comes from, interacts with and tries to represent the phenomena of “room”, “space” and “atmosphere”.

How do we read rooms, in what kind of language are they being saved in our memory and how would a print of this memory look like? In this case the so called printer is an archaic one, consisting of a human body and spraypaint. The act of experiencing space and trying to recreate it in some sort of language lie close together and yet there is a translatory gap in between. What happens in this gap?
