Do You Wanna Change the Wor(l)d is an Installation from January 2024.
It is a bit of a retrospective as it mixes a few works from the last 3 years with current works and brings it all together as an installation for the show ‘Ich setz’ mich da auf einen Stuhl und fange dann an’ (together with Leon Titze).
In short, the little ‘theme park’ brings together a shifting momentum between seeing and reading, transparency and obscurity, letting go into the other and back again. Then a main negotiation takes place between the realms of artistic and artificial practice and intelligence. The interview below is a re-translation via Chat GPT of the interview I had with Marcel Schwittlick about computational and text art, especially around the idea of cyberspace. The idea of cyberspace as a space without time and space became an interesting pattern. The logic of the installation followed this cyber-spatial fluidity and became very musical and playful, as if the artworks were floating in space. I think this is a very interesting update or take on the great sculptural phenomenon – space – and how we see it. Thanks to my friends and colleagues Shona Stark, Canberk Akçal and Vincent Hüdepohl who joined me in setting up this little ‘concert’.

The text below ‘Transparent Chatter’ is a four-day dialogue I conducted via Chat GPT (3.5) about the idea of the human, the artistic and the artificial voice, taking the concept of ‘voice’ very metaphorically here, but also trying to push the Generative Pretrained Transformer (GPT) to its own technical limits when interviewing it about it’s own voice.
